Nueva Andalucia

Nuevo Andalusia is the area north of Puerto Banus. It’s often called “Golf Valley” because you’ll find 5 golf courses here. Las Brisas, Los Naranjos, Aloha, La Dama de Noche and La Quinta. At La Dama de Noche you can even play golf at night because the course is brightly lit. Combined with the beautiful mountains in the background and the blue Mediterranean Sea in the foreground, these golf courses have a very green feel; it really is the ideal setting.

Nueva Andalucía is very popular amongst Scandinavians and you will typically find many Norwegians who live here or have holiday homes here. Nueva Andalucía starts at the bull ring / Centro Plaza, area, where every Saturday, a very popular outdoor market is held.

There are many excellent restaurants and bars in the area, and many accommodations are within walking distance of Puerto Banus and the beach. The Aloha region of Nuevo Andalusia is highly sought after for its proximity to everything. Further north, into the “Valley of Golf”, you’ll find properties with stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea, Gibraltar and the Moroccan coast, but you’ll need a car to get here.

Nueva Andalucía and The Golden Mile are the most popular areas in Marbella compared to if you are further east or west of Marbella house prices reflect this. Prices here are also better than in other regions, with sales in 2013 corresponding to the pre-crisis peak. Buying a property in a prime location is a safe investment. The area is also suitable for rental investment as there is a high demand for holiday accommodation. For this reason many owners rent out their homes during the period in which they live abroad allowing them to capitalize on their investment.
